Bora received her MD from Ewha Womans University, completed her residency in Psychiatry at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, completed a research fellowship in Psychiatry at Seoul National University, and earned her MAS at UCSF. Her research is focused on neurodevelopmental factors in autism, as well as gene and environment interactions related to the onset and progression of autism. She is also interested in depressed mood and suicidal ideation in adolescent and adult autism. Based on her experience with the Korean National Suicide Survey, a nationwide epidemiological research project, she has planned a large scale epidemiological research project for depression and suicide in autism. Outside of work, she enjoys live music and attending film festivals.
